Students visited the Imperial War Museum to compliment this term’s learning on the causes and events of the First War, they met veterans, Peter and Paul, who served in the British Armed Forces. Students shared information about the school’s namesake, Sergeant Laurence Calvert, who was awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery in World War One with the veterans - a fantastic opportunity to share history.
