We have been planning our first transition arrangements that will begin in the next few weeks and we are really looking forward to meeting our very first cohort of students in their primary schools.

We have some exciting resources, information and competitions to share with students so that those joining the academy in September will be really well prepared and looking forward to joining us.

📣 IT’S NOT BANTER WEEK | w/c 28th September This week, we’re focusing on respect, consent, safety and equality — and exploring how the things we say and do can affect others. Throughout the week, students will take part in a range of sessions and workshops: 🔹 Tuesday – Year 9 A special assembly from Talk Consent, exploring consent, the impact of sexual violence, and how to navigate grey areas and confusion in relationships and sexual situations safely and respectfully. 🔹 Thursday & Friday – Year 8 One Life No Knives workshops, delivered by West Yorkshire Police, A&E Consultants and A&E Navigators, exploring the real-life impact of knife crime and making safer choices. 🔹 Thursday & Friday – Years 9 & 10 M Path sessions exploring positive masculinity and what it means to build healthy, respectful relationships and communities. 🔹 Form Time Sessions – Years 7–10 Years 7 & 8: What is bullying and how can we safely challenge it? Years 9 & 10: How do we promote equality online? 💬 Let’s challenge the idea that harmful behaviour is “just banter”. Small comments and actions can have a big impact.
